I called you to the surface
I called you near today
I called you to come closer
A little game to play
But nothing could prepare me
For the look within your eyes
As slowly you'd whisper
those ever pleasant lies
"I love you" you'd say to me
So coyly would you turn
"I don't believe you"
My automatic return
But deep down I knew
My words were only lies
As deep down we all know
Though we try to disguise
For I thought you would never
say those things to put on a show
I thought it was forever
A voiceless inner shell
And when the curtain finally fell
As the lights were slowly lit
My heart lay on the floor
In pieces torn bit by bit
No more your face would I see
Without a twinge of hate
The mask I will always wear
So I can make my escape
The truth no more to ever be
Ruined the trust forever lay
Between you and me
I called you near today
I called you to come closer
A little game to play
But nothing could prepare me
For the look within your eyes
As slowly you'd whisper
those ever pleasant lies
"I love you" you'd say to me
So coyly would you turn
"I don't believe you"

Mendacious
The heart falters;
it is a weak and
fragile thing.
I feel a clasp
tight as a clamp
around it when I
hear your voice
echoing in this
dark corridor.
What beckons me
are the demons
that dwell within you.
They speak in tongues
and I curse them.
Your language
is mere poison;
a dialect long
bereft of veracity.

Literature
I don't believe in words .
You are the brightest star of my galaxy and I am
a faded moon that only shines as much as you want it to.
And I hurry at the slightest indication of an us
but I just never seem to get any closer.
So I'll take the u out of us
and all that will remain will be
Seeds that had never grown into a rose that I once wished for.
That I still long for.
Because this rose that I tried to nurture,
it had more thorns than
heart-shaped petals.
Because if I looked closer I'd see the horns on your head
and a malicious fire in your eyes.
And the t remains for touches that I never recieved,
the tales you never told me,
the truth you've always kept

His Eyes
With each step, He drew closer to me,
Lurking in the corner, waiting patiently.
In the shadows, where He has no shape,
Devoid of any light, He is the darkness.
A rustle of wind here, a whisper there,
The night is bare, the moon is about,
Casting hiding places for Him as He moves,
Behind me, following my every step.
I knew He was behind me but I walked on,
Walked because there was no escaping Him,
But I made my mind and turned around,
Only to look upon Death, into His eyes.
The coldness in them was overpowering,
But to my surprise, I did not feel the cold at all,
Rather warmth put her arms behind me.
I saw something in those ey
